St. Brigittas Catholic Hospital offer ophthalmology service.

Over three hundred patients have been screened and over twenty eye surgeries done. Those who needed corrective eyeglasses are also attended to. All services covered under Nhif.

St. Brigitta’s Catholic Hospital joined the new programme lunched by the County government of Uasin Gishu. The central lab going to be established at Huruma sub–County Hospital whereby they will install all machines which all the labs within the county will be using especially tests which requires higher advanced equipment's. The samples will be ferried to the Central laboratory via the drone from all laboratories within the County.

Our facility installed new equipment's this year and with collaboration with Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital On 31st of may 2023 we conducted our first three surgeries successfully.

The facility has signed a MOU with MTRH for support and mentorship. The operating theatres are meant to assist decongest clients at MTRH.

The cost of surgeries is same with the MTRH specially clients using NHIF cover and LINDA MAMA. We are targeting the poor in the community who need surgical help and cannot afford going to private hospitals due to cost and at MTRH the que is long. These patients can be assisted provided they have NHIF cover.

So far since June to date we have done over twenty surgeries. E.g., Caesarian sections, Hysterectomy, Cystectomy, Thyroidectomy, Tonsillectomy, Amputations, removal of plates, and Eye surgeries.

St Brigittas Catholic Hospital is committed to promoting the health of Mothers and Babies, During pregnancy, delivery and post-delivery.

Our facility offers Antenatal and Postnatal care. Those with Gyna ecological issues are also helped. The Welfare of babies are also provided. Immunizations of under five years are done throughout the week. Our MCH Department is child friendly.
